Today in the street our year 7 & 8 told our team what there highlights were. here are ten things they shared

• Our year 8 boys were scared so all the boys that were scared slept together.
• they also talked about having fun activities.
• they also talked about getting the opportunity to show there talents
• they also moved out of there comfort soon.
• they also talked about how they learnt how to drive something 
• they talked about how to show leadership
• they were telling us what food they loved eating 
• Talked about how they got scared in there dorm

So last week on Wednesday 5th of august step up leadership started. The day step up camp started our teachers told us how to act when the year 8 are not here. They also told us what groups we were in so i was one of the year 8s that stayed back because i wasn't too sure on if i wanted to go camp but i made my mine up and i didn't really wanna go. 

So the camp group names were Duck life, that was the group i was in, there was also group thunder they also won the step up camp, and last but not least was team strikers. 

When we split into our groups we all had to contribute by thinking of a group name witch everyone  came up with and a chant. Then about and hour or two after our groups split up we had to present our chants and some of our quotes.

After morning tea we had our first rotation which was with Ms Tipene that was about quotes that will remind us on how to be a leader mine. mine quote said " Love everyone around you " and i out it in a heart shape.

Friendly Dragons

Once upon a time there were 2 teenage boys named Kelvin and Zane they were on their way to get and travel the world till something happened. Their plane got delayed so then they had to wait till early hours in the morning to go and start their adventure. It didn't turn out the way they planned it. But the next morning they woke up so early they couldn’t walk. . when they arrived on the plane they were excited because it was their first time ever going on a plane. When Zane got on the plane he felt nervous. The reason he felt that way was because he had never been far from his mum Zane is younger than Kelvin.


When the plane took off they both couldn't stop looking down because they thought it would break down but suddenly something happened. The plane apparently lost its balance in the air so then the plane was falling from the sky like a missle. When it hit the ground lucky it didn’t explode it was just damaged like i mean damaged so bad no one could fix it. So everyone went their own ways just to find a way out lucky the sun was coming out that would make it easier for them. They went so far away from the plane no one could see them.


When they were try to find there way back they heard something at first they thought it was something special that could help them but it wasn't how could they know the only way they could find out is if they followed whatever was making that sound they looked and looked to something else happened they heard more than one thing moving around what could it be?. As soon as they heard more than one it started to creep them out because they were wondering what it was, they looked and looked but then they were getting thirsty and hungry so they searched for other things to eat and drink. When they went back to finding the plane they finally found it but their supplies were not to be seen. They got worried.

Next they went on another adventure to go and look for things to eat and drink. Suddenly they heard a weird sound again this time they might as well leave it because they were too hungry to follow it. Then of course they found food to eat. It was the only thing on the island. The next thing they did was start searching again for that mysterious sound then they heard it again. Kelvin said “come on not again” then they ran after it they almost caught it but it ran as fast as it could. It was like the thing they were looking for wanted them to chase after it.

Then they finally found what was going on. It was a baby dragon wanting them to chase after them. They were wondering where its mum was then as soon as they said that they saw it charging at them, then they started to run as fast as they could. They thought it was trying to eat them or hurt them but it wasn't trying to hurt them or do anything. By the time she tried to be nice they were gone in a split second. Then they tried to look for the baby dragon again but then it was getting dark so they just couldn’t take it. They needed some rest so then they built them a shelter for the night. By the time it was morning they wanted to search for it to take photos.


Next they wanted to see if the dragons had any other friends then when they started to search again they forgot to pack them some warm things but it was too risky they didn't wanna lose the dragon another time. So then they were on their way looking for another couple or dragons they didn't know were friendly but it was worth a try. So they started to search more and more around places they didn't know about then wa la they found one it was drinking its water so then they tried to take a shot they got but they mom charged at them again and they were gone.


Next they decided to look for more then when they were looking they got a jackpot they found way more then they did before. They found a whole valley of them but then went up to one dragon and thought it would do something bad but it didn't. It just licked his face then after that they became very good friends and they could understand Kelvin and Zane very clearly. So then they asked them if they could get a ride on their backs to go and see where the other passengers were. They were all struggling so bad they thought we turnt crazy but yeah turns out dragons aint bad after all.

So they all rode the sun sit and lived happily ever after even though it was a hard 2 days for them they still came out alive.

Once upon a time there was four boys named jack,bob,mike,Jake. One day they decided to go on a stroll in the woods then suddenly there was something that caught their eye so they rode closer to see what it was. First they tried to to open it but then it was locked by the time they found the key it would be to dark so then they went home to have a rest then the next day they went back to the spot and started to search for the key. Next they thought they found the key but it was a stick shaped as a key they tried it but it didnt work because it was shaped differently compared to the normal input key. They were looking for ages they tried and tried they thought nothing would work but then they went to look in a different area. They had a look under rocks and inside trees and suddenly they found it next they went to look for the door they found it, it worked then they went to open it they wondered what was behind the door all it was, was all the instruments anyone could ever have or dreamed about they looked for their favorite instrument and they found them one each so they decided to make a band it worked successfully but then they got bored of it so then they thought they would sell it for some prophets and guess what it worked they thought it was gonna be a total failure but when they earnt there prophets they thought about other things.  Well  it turns out they had a good rest of there week finding a good amount of things to sell so they can sell it for prophet to buy them things they need i guess sometimes it can work. It had been three days since it had gone missing. One minute he had held it in his hand, the next it had vanished. How could it just have disappeared? It had been right in front of his eyes!

He had been warned about what would happen if he lost it. His mission had been to guard the key with his life, ever since they visited him last summer.

Adam had always had a detective’s instinct. They had told him as much. He had been chosen because he had certain skills, and he would need them more than ever now.

Only one clue had seemingly been left, which was sat on the living room table.

Holding the magnifying glass up to his eye, Adam began to investigate. 

He was on his way to his mysterious adventure to find what he lost a minute ago. He started in his room, then after making his way to the book shelf.  He then made his way to the kitchen, then the living room, until he saw something awfully strange. it was something he hadn't seen before. It was an angel! He thought it was a good thing, but it turned out his gut feeling was wrong. This angel wasn't really good. He thought the angel would help him but the creature was evil! 

“ So you're a devil huh. “ he was wondering why it was looking at him in a weird way. It looked like it wanted to eat him up,  it was on it’s way in shock because he thought the evil angel was going to gobble him but he thought wrong. Next he went to the place he saw the thing he saw last that was in a mortal world. It takes  about two to three hours just to get into the mortal world.

 He made it was a relief he made it to the mortal world then he around looking for he looked everywhere it took him 3 hours it was almost dawn when he finished he was exhausted if he wanted to give u but he really loved the thing he lost so he went back in time to see where he lost it.

 When he went back in time he didn't see it at all. It was like it was gone forever even when he went back in time it wasn't in his hand he looked everywhere but he thought for a while there was one place he didn't look. It was at his nan's house.  He gazed for another couple hours. He did find it by the time he finished looking it was about night time he didn't give up.

 But then in weeks after things started to change around the neighborhood he commented ‘why are things different all of a sudden’  the people around him were like ‘it's because you didn't find the thing you were looking for’ do den he went about his day and started searching for it with his tremendous  magnifying glass. He strolled down the road looking with his jumbo magnifying he couldn't find it. But not very long after that they found something that took them underground so detective Adam jumped through the hole he saw and he was surrounded by larva.

  Once he hit the ground he was looking for something that looked the same as the thing he lost he went looking under there for an excellent 2 hours after that he bolted around the underground place where nobody knew. He noticed something he thought was his thing that he lost, he thought welp it was it he was delighted that he found it.

So he was skipping to the way he came into the underground but he needed a gaizer just to get out of the underground, he was looking for water but then he found it he had a bucket that he could fill up just to make a gaizer so he did then he went all the way out. Then he tried to see his house but then he couldn't see it. He tried calling someone but his phone was stuffed.

He tried to get into somewhere he could crash for the night the next day he went looking. He thought he was in a different dimension but people in his dermention people could talk the same language.  But then he found a way back home the end.

Intro on Monday the 16th of September. Cross country was here the day people weren't waiting for because we had torn about 3 km. there was another school on our course because there was no enter zone.  

Info 1 Yesterday was an awesome day because we had a good run about 3 km in like 15 minutes or more. before we ran we had to stand on the red line. after that, we had to wait for them to tell us to run. When I was ruing I saw some of the year 7 girls because they did want to run.  when we ran we got stuck in the mud  because it was muddy like every step i took was hard.

The way I was feeling was made because Stanhope was Snobing us when we were running. then when that was over I was feeling OK but then all I saw was people catching up to me. then the Stanhope boy was just going try-hard. 

conclusion 

So over the cross country was fun and it was an amazing experience. even though it was hard to run 2 laps it was fun. but over all it was the most fun i ever had on cross country day. All the colors were Red,Blue,Green,Yellow but my favorite color was blue. But the way we say it at school is Hine Moana.

Immersion Assembly: The start of Term 3

WALT: Understand what is needed for Persuasive Writing 

Today was the first day of Term 3! Our theme for this term is : Something In The Water, which focuses on helping or environment and also things that live and breathe in it.

Our day started off with our teams. Each team had a certain item or movie they would play, then after would explain what they would be learning about.

Team 1 started us off with a movie continuing on their group S.O.F.A. They had embarked a journey focusing on the Point England beach and what lives in those waters and had sadly no clue on how to save it. In the end they had told team 1 to find answers on what to do.

Team 3 was looking or someone to help look for someone protect the lake in auckland.but it took her a long time to look for a protector.

Team 4 movie was walking down to pt england beach and finding things on the beach and they find like rubbish then tell us things in the ocean.

Team 5 they made up a song about cells nucleus gene dna chromosome then they explained what team 5 were going to experience this year.

I am excited to see what new adventures await for me for Term 3.

The sky tower height is  328 meters and 1,076 tall the sky tower was built in 1994 and it is 25

years old the cost in the sky tower is free for children under 5 years old and 23 for 16 and over

75 dollars for 2 children and 2 adults.

In the sky tower the casino is r 18 but the cost is 75.00 for and 18 yr old. There are also bars and

these are the names. Suga club, sky cafe, twenty one.

Family entertainment  

The family entertainment for families are the sky jump the cost to jump off the

sky tower is $225.00. But the skywalk is quite better than the sky jump  because it’s cheaper

than the sky jump.it is 79.00 per person. The restaurants in the sky tower it quite expensive

because it’s more fancier than a normal restaurant. The names of the restaurant’s names are

Today I will explain why I like to play sports. So I like playing sports because it's fun and because u enjoy it.






I also like the sport because u can be cooperative and talk to the other players on the team you are playing.






I love the sport because u can get fit and u can get ready for doing fitness every day and get more fitness into u so when u get older u don't be lazy you are up and going.






In conclusion, these are the reasons why u should play sports is because u get fit and one day u might be famous.

Last day of school

Today was the last day of school. This morning we all went to the hall and we did some suff all about holidays and being safe everywhere. Then we went back to class and did jobs and we all watched a movie. At 12.00 o clock we went back to the hall and said a few things to all of our teachers. Then at 12.30 we all went home.

We play on thursday  We  vs stanhope we lose it against , we vs them two times and we still lost it against them.

and we vs glenn taylor and tamaki primary and we vs panama when we  had five games so when we finished.

Then  we went to prize giving after that we went back  to school i was tired because we had to chase the people that were fast   .
